Listed below are the general terms and conditions governing enrolment on the courses and programmes of the University of Girona Foundation: Innovation and Training. Specific terms and conditions may exist for enrolment on certain courses, which may partially modify the present general terms and conditions.
1. Confirmation of enrolment
Whatever the case, in order for the enrolment to be confirmed it is necessary to pay the full amount before the stipulated deadline.
2. Annulment of the enrolment
As a general rule, registration fees will not be refunded in any case.
In this case, the pre-registration fee will be withheld by the Foundation for a period of two years from the enrolment annulment date. This amount can be used to register for or enrol on other courses of the Foundation. The enrolment amount will be reimbursed.
In the event of the enrolment being annulled less than 20 days before the start of the course, or beyond the stipulated deadline, neither the enrolment fee nor the pre-registration fee will be reimbursed.
3. Requesting an invoice
An invoice will be sent to students who, after paying the enrolment fee, specifically request one, indicating in the request their name or the corporate name of their company, tax ID number and address. By issuing an invoice the Foundation is legally obliged to submit the corresponding declaration to the tax authorities.
4. Personal data protection
The personal data of those enrolled on courses of the Foundation will be treated in accordance with the legislation governing personal data protection. It will be incorporated in a file entitled “Academic management”, owned by the Foundation, or in the file of the same name owned by the University of Girona. In the latter case, the data will be treated by the Foundation as an entrusted body of the University of Girona. The enrolment forms will state the name of the file in which the data will be incorporated and the responsibilities involved in its treatment. When required, due to the characteristics of the course, the data may be transferred to other entities involved in the organisation of the course. This circumstance will be listed in the description of the course. Furthermore, when necessary, the data will be transferred to the University of Girona for the purposes of accrediting the completed studies. When the qualifications or certificates are recognised or validated by other academic institutions, the aforementioned institutions will be provided with the data necessary to issue the corresponding certificates or qualifications. Students may at any time exercise their right to access, correct, delete and refuse the use of the aforementioned data by contacting the Foundation through any means.
