This course is open to everyone aged 18 and over.
Entry requirements
Level B1 or similar recommended.
Aims
This course aims to prepare students for the Cambridge B2 First exam with practice of the grammar, vocabulary, language skills, topics and exam skills needed for success in all four papers of the exam: Reading and Use of English, Writing, Listening and Speaking. Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to sit the Cambridge B2 First exam.

Sandra Gorman Durango
Native English teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching at all levels and Cambridge exam preparation courses. For the last 10 years she has worked as an official Cambridge speaking examiner as well as working as a translator and interpreter of Spanish to English and English to Spanish.

Teaching and Assessment
The course includes 60 classroom hours and 60 self-study hours.
The course will focus on:
– Task achievement: what this means and how to achieve it.
– Understanding the reasoning behind a task.
– Timing and planning.
– Accuracy and appropriacy.
– Skills: speaking, writing, listening, reading.
– The use and control of grammatical structures.
– Improving and expanding lexical range.
Assessment will be based on class based and homework activities, combined with model exams to monitor progress and eligibility for the Cambridge exam.
Evaluation system
To qualify for an attendance certificate, students must attend a minimum of 50% of the classes.
